The Great Move

My freshman year of college is soon coming to a close. The list of items going home have been complied, plans for the summer have been drawn up, and the finals are coming forward with some momentum. Yet looking around my room I find that the move back home is somewhat of an art; mostly because I don't know where I'm going cram all the crap when I go back home.

Roomie has already started the process of taking the huge amounts of items we have and transporting them back home whereas I haven't been home since the beginning of April, leaving me in quite a cunundrum (If that's how you spell it).

I doid compile a list of what to take home, what to leave, I even started a list of what comes back next year during another boring class where the professor talks about porn on the internet several times in a 50 minute class. I believe he has issues be to resloved...

It will be strange to be at home again. In a way, I feel somewhat uncomfortable sleeping in a room by myself. Heck, I sleep better here than I do at home, mostly because of the kickin' matress pad I have for my bed here in Edinboro. I made the call to Shop N' Save this morning to reserve my job for the summer. Another glorious 4 months at the land of food and greenpoints...oh, how I haven't missed thee. But they give me the green stuff, and that's what counts. They are taking me back this summer to work, of course, because I am 1)Friendly to customers for the most part (Unless you just freak me out or tick me off with your hyper-active attitude towards the greenpoints) 2) Know what I'm doing (Dur) and 3)I clean! I remember coming back over Christmas break and making up for 3 months of cleaning that I did when I was there. Ouch. But this really isn't a cocky attitude, there's nothing to be cocky about- it's a grocery store! It's not like I'm Billy Gates' intern, haha.

It will be a joy to see my family, especially my lovely pets. I do feel a longing to pet them non-stop when i return home on weekends because of the long time span I have away from them. When I see the seeing eye dogs on campus I want to run up to them and pet them to death, but they're on active duty, I can't mess with them, it's like an unwritten law- Section 476 Public Walking- "Thou shalt not touch thy neighbors seeing eye kenine."

I'm ooper thrilled to spend time with friends as well. I already have plans to visit people and attend many festivites. Also, family time will be awesome, especially with my baby girl cousin on the way...right down the road! I still haven't been in J & V's lagoon pool yet. That is a MUST on my list, I love the water!

Yet a part of me will miss the friends and the fun on campus. Thankfully no one is going away or graduating yet, so it looks like a pretty bright summer! Whip out the SPF 50 and let's hit the outdoors! Later!

Oh yes, I remember those college moves between dorms - I was usually finishing papers and packing boxes in one frantic 48 hours final exams push, lol. Good luck with the end of the semester and enjoy your summer!
